How do I even begin to describe what it’s like to live in the city? From living close to everything, to the energetic atmosphere, to the sudden midnight hush that falls over the city, there is so much beauty I could share. Ultimately, it depends on whether you’re a city person like me. As in any living situation, there are pros and cons. However, if your heart has always been connected to the excitement of the city, then the pros will outweigh the cons and some of the cons just won’t seem that bad.
Never too far
Honestly, nothing is ever too far away. A short cheap trip with a taxi or Uber driver will get you where you want to be. Or you could walk if that’s your preference; some might argue this though. Maybe living outside of Calgary taught me to appreciate anything that took less then 30 minutes to get to? It’s all a matter of perspective. Even driving out to the mountains doesn’t take long. Within a quick 15 minutes, you could be outside the city limits and on your way to the day’s adventure.
Entertainment is everywhere
Living in the city means you’re always close to some sort of event or fun hang out spot. As a result, you don’t have to worry about being bored. All you need to do is grab your friend and get out there. Explore what this amazing city has to offer.
Makes networking a breeze
Since you’re so close to everything, it’s very easy to meet people. We live in a world that is all about who you know. Creating those natural relationships with people who might be able to help you, and vice versa, is a benefit that cannot go ignored.
Areas for peace and quiet
The benefit of living in Calgary is that it has two rivers flowing through it, joining together near the centre of the city. With this feature, Calgary offers many little spots in parks along the river that provide individuals with a place for peace and creativity.
Particularly during the summer, the city is a wonderful place to live. That is why I’m excited about our Memorial Drive listing! Keep an eye out this week for it. The home offers everything I’m excited about and more!
